The Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) methodology focuses on the student and the practical use of the language. Unlike the traditional method in CLT the teacher is a facilitator encouraging students to define their goals and lead the learning.

READING

Reading is crucial to learning a language especially in educational or professional contexts. We encourage practice with authentic texts.

WRITING

Writing is key to communication in new languages. Our students practice with assignments and essays to improve writing skills.

SPEAKING

Speaking English is challenging. Our students practice with English speakers and receive feedback on strengths and weaknesses to refine pronunciation and structure.

LISTENING

Listening and understanding English are essential for fluency. At Lumos, students improve their listening skills with native teachers, authentic materials, and immersion.
